Introduction

I love water, it inspires me, makes me calm. I was born in Balatonfőkajár in 1957. After the years spent at Lake Balaton I got acquainted with the flora and fauna of forests in the secondary school of forestry in Sopron. I spent all my freetime in the nature equipped with a binocular and plant identification books but I was mostly interested in birds. That is the time when I first started taking nature photos. My works were published in newspapers, magazines and books. I started to deal with drawing in 1995, first pencil- and ink drawings were made, then in 1997 I made my first gouache- and oil pictures. Later my drawings, graphics were published in different journals /Nimród, Természetbúvár, Madártávlat/.

At present I live and work in Balatonvilágos. My first remarkable solo exhibition was in 1997, which was followed by several further ones all over Hungary. So far I have had 17 solo exhibitions. I also have had group exhibitions in eight different towns of Hungary. My first exhibition abroad was in Ulm (Germany) in 2007. My works have got to different countries in Europe, like Germany, Italy, Luxemburg, Britain and Belgium.

My philosophy of life can best be charaterised by the words of István Fekete, Hungarian author. Because the forest speaks to those knowing it: sends signs, messages, reveals itself, you only must understand it. However, to be able to understand it, you must know its trees, bushes, grass, flowers, mushrooms, animals and the numerous colours, sounds, the movement, life system, nature of animals, the eternal, ancient laws of all the inhabitants of the forest. Only this knowledge can take humans close to the forest and if they are in harmony, they will be happy to each other
